Here are some commonly asked questions to help you prepare for your experience at Plume Bridal. If you have any other questions, please contact us if you need clarification or additional

We are at Plume Tuesday through Saturdays from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. Appointments are highly recommended to ensure that you have the opportunity to try on the gowns you select! Walk in appointments are based on fitting room and consultant availability.
We are located at the intersection of Main Street & Willson Ave, next to Alara Jewelry. There is complimentary two-hour street parking is available on Main Street and Willson Ave, in the parking lot one block north of us, and inside the parking garage two blocks away. 
If you want a specific date or time, we recommend booking as soon as possible. We take bookings up to 6 months in advance, but normally are able to get you in the same week if needed. The earlier the better is best!  It's never to early to purchase your dress. We suggest ordering your gown a minimum of 8-10 months in advance to allow for alterations.
We suggest wearing nude undergarments and a strapless bra or sticky cups. If you feel more comfortable in, and are planning on wearing shapewear under your dress then feel free to bring it. We also suggest bringing a pair of heels in the height you imagine for your wedding so you can try on your dress when you find it. Underpants are required.
We recommend bringing no more than 5 guests because we are a small boutique, and want you to have the best experience.  Sometimes if you bring a large group it makes it harder to make a decision because of all of the different opinions. Please let us know if you want to bring more than 5 people and we can discuss an appointment when we can accommodate a larger group. Children must be attended by an adult and held by the hand at all times. When you find the gown of your dreams, we will order you a new gown in your size and selected color, and it will arrive in 4-6 months. All sales are final. A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to order your dress, with the balance due when the dress arrives. If you purchase a sample gown, a payment in full is required at the time of purchase, and you can take the gown with you that day. Alterations are not included in the cost of your dress, but we have a number of reputable alteration specialists to refer you to.
We recommend brides order their gown 8-12 months prior to their wedding.  Gowns can take 4-6 months to arrive since they are made to order.  Alterations can take 8-12 weeks after your gown arrives.  That being said, if one is working with a shorter timeline we can help make that work!  Rush orders are sometimes possible (fees may apply), and often we may have a floor sample that may be the perfect option!
We try to offer a range of prices for our guests. In general, most of our new, made to order gowns start at $1300 and the most expensive options can go up to $3500, with the majority of our gowns ranging in price from $1500-$2000. Our same day sale gowns are all under $1200. If you have a specific gown in mind, feel free to email or call and we will be happy to answer your questions!
When you purchase your gown through a bridal boutique you have a team to support you and answer your questions from start to finish.  We have experience in helping our guests select gowns that fit their vision, budget, and body perfectly.  When you buy online, you open yourself to a number of risks.  If the price seems too good to be true, it probably is, and it may end up costing much more in the end with alterations and possibly having to buy a new dress.  Unfortunately we hear from brides every year that receive gowns that aren’t what they ordered, that were cheap knock-offs or their gown just didn’t arrive, especially in the correct size.  When you purchase through Plume you have peace of mind and a real person you can contact with questions!
The first difference you would notice between Plume and many other bridal stores is that we are a small boutique.  We are able to provide service to up to two brides at a time, which allows you to have the attentive service you deserve in an intimate, relaxing atmosphere.  The second difference you may notice is that in general we only have one sample of each dress in a particular size.   We can then order you a new gown based on your measurements and preferences such as color.   Some samples are available for immediate sale, and are a great option for brides with a short timeline or a limited budget.  Lastly, we want to help you find your gown, at the best price possible, and help you be confident in your choice.  After all, it’s about feeling like the best version of yourself on your wedding day!
Sample gowns are a great way to get a designer gown immediately and often at a discount.  This is also considered buying "off the rack."  As the name implies, sample gowns are exactly that, the samples we have on our sales floor that other brides have tried on to find a gown.  These gowns may be discontinued, we may have discontinued our relationship with the designer, or they may just be a great gown that we couldn't resist and we've had her for a little bit.  The sample gowns from Plume have never been to a wedding, but they have been tried on, and some of them have been to different photoshoots as well.  Most sample gowns are available at a 10%-50% discount to help defray the costs you may incur when you dry clean and alter your sample gown.  All sample gowns are sold 'as is,' and are a final sale product.
